Simmer: Food Service/Cafe POS

I have been using this app for a few weeks now. At the very first, I was very desappointed as many features weren't working fine. It was very frustrating. The app promises weren't here. And then, the Simmer Team (Seb) got in touch with me to understand my worries and to ask me how they could help my team and I in using their app. I told them a few key points to improve to make their app very efficient. I finally found them very concerned about my experience and they have been working to fix all the bugs that I noticed to them. Today the app is more fluid. I can also say that kind of app that suits coffee shop with terrasse and table orders is quite rare. And I can say now their app is good choice for taking orders at tables with a very nice kitchen display system. A few things are still to be improved but I can bank on them to make it. Today change my 1* score to a 4* score. Maybe in a few weeks I will put a 5* score. Thank you Seb for your help.

We found Simmer when it first came out and have been using it ever since. It has come a long way and continues to improve with each update. It took our staff a little time initially to understand how Simmer interacts with Shopify, but once we got through that learning curve, it became a great tool for our operation. The Simmer team has always been open and receptive to our feedback, ideas, and suggestions for improvements. We use Simmer primarily for our quick-service food concepts and have processed just shy of 30,000 orders through the system. With all of the improvements and updates over the past 12 months, it is now working seamlessly with our KDS screens and has become an important part of our food service operation. It has been great to see the platform grow and improve, and we’re looking forward to seeing where they take it next!

Simmer served as a friendly to use service for a large event. We needed a simple but effective solution for eight food stands. With very little time, the team helped greatly with a smooth onboarding process and was by our side the entire journey. The software worked without fail and the interface and experience reduced training time for our associates. Simmer served as a simple yet effective solution for our event, we would not hesitate to use them again for future events.

Our Shopify website and POS has been live for about a month and a half, and Simmer has been one of our most used, and valuable apps! It makes user navigation easy, especially with our complex business. We use Simmer mainly for our smoothie add-on options, but it's useful for more than just this. Order fulfillment is easily done with Simmer, and I like the ability for our kitchen to receive "sent" tickets on a display screen, saving them time and paper materials. Even the Simmer support has been outstanding – Simon is extremely helpful with any questions or concerns, and ensures the app works for our business needs. If you are looking for something that is easy to use, works with all business types, and offers personal (human) support, I would highly recommend this app!

Highly recommended! Migrating from Square to Shopify I was shocked by how many basic features are missing on Shopify. Then I found Simmer. This app is indispensable! So well thought out when it comes to both features and execution. It makes Shopify so much more usable. It's completely supercharging the basic functionality of the POS. We've started using this app with our new venue, combining Table Service and Take-Away elements in the same space. Simmer has been an absolute dream, solving 90% of our problems with using Shopify POS in a Hospitality setting on launch.
