Searchanise Search & Filter

We just can say that this app (I prefere to call it a platform) is just brilliant. It helped us to optimize our store in so many areas and we were able to replace or cover the functionality of several other apps. I would give it 10 Stars if possible!! And the customer support is highly excellent. The are responding on the same day sometimes even immediately and on weekends. They really helped to answer questions quickly, but more important to help us to really customize everything towards our requirements. Thanks to Alexey here but also to the developers taking action in the background. Smart search is really smart in many ways. First it comes with auto completion, error correction and suggestions that really work. And they are highly contolabe and can be customized. This is supported by really great anakysis tools. The search widget is also very nize looking and highly customizable (also using custom CSS). But then it comes: You can also setup a filter with many product options, like product type, vendor, all variants and many more. No need to tag youre products, it does it automatically and again is highly customizable (including color swatches). The result pages again look already great and can again be customized. But not even this. You can also use Searchanize to replace the collection pages. Due to the capabilities to again customize the look and feel to youre brand I'm now completely independent from how the different themes are doing this. And then Searchanise also provides cross & up-sell widgets where you can decide where you want them to appear (including best sellers or customers also bought). Also the product results are actually sensitve to the behavior of a customer and how she/he is navigating through yor store. So customers very likely see/find what they are interested in (at least this is our experience). There would be much more to say ... Thanks to the Searchanise team for doing an amazing job and I'm curious about their next steps! I would like to extend my review: After using the App (platform) now for over half a year I can just confirm what I have written and we are still more then happy and amazed about the possibilities and quality. Now I want to extend the review to also emphasize the fantastic support the team of Serachanise is providing. We had many requests in order to customize the look and feel but also request to get additional functionality and content (which required coding from Searchanise's development team). The support team always answered within few hours either providing solutions immediately or trying hard to get more complex requests done as soon as possible. Even for the more complex development tasks we received a solution generally between 1-3 days - which is just amzing! And I want to highlight that this was always done in a very friendly way always showing me that they are really willing and happy to help their customers. So a very special thanks to the support and development team (and to you Alexey!!!) for your great help and efforts. Again I would give 10 Stars for the support and development team.

They caused a Massive Bug: a few months back due to this filter where it made almost all my products not available to even view - my site was empty for nearly 24 hrs, I had my team staying late, I stayed until after midnight, no one could solve it, **Searchanise support was not existing, I raised tickets and no one answered, for an app like that to have no urgency / emergency escalation - shame on you, I wanted to show it to all that may consider - if something goes wrong they are not there for you, there's no emergency resolution. *I ended up going on upwork offering $300 to a programer that can solve it, he did it in 15 min... and I had to disconnect the app, in total it was a damage of thousands of dollars, and loss of sales too, their response was called, no accountability, and then offering something funny like $100 compensation - what a Joke, honestly this is not a mad review, this is a real thing that happen, so just consider that before going for it, (if you have your own in house programmer maybe it's ok if he can jump on a bug - bottom line don't leave your site exposed to them, they are not responsible with your assets).

Direkt eine Antwort bekommen vom Support und auch gleiche das Problem behoben. App arbeitet gut, je nach Anspruch bedarf es halt vieler Einstellungen vorab, aber dann macht sie auch genau das was sie soll :)

We've had serious issues with this app.. Not thrilled with the customer service, either. There are a lot of other search apps, so you should keep on searching, too...

Shocked and saddened by the bahaviour from the company in recent weeks. I signed up for a one year subscription in May 2025 which runs until May 2026, and suddenly I find the admin panel is blocked and they want me to pay more because I am on Shopify Plus?! Well I upgraded to Shopify Plus back in August 2024, so that should have been taken into account when I paid for a year subscription for Searchanise in May 2025... after a few emails with them, the admin panel is still blocked.. I am so angry with how I am being treated by this company. AVOID!

Update...we have now been using this product for at least 6 months. I must say, we are finding it priceless. Without this app, most of our customers would never find what they are looking for among our vast selection. Great APP!!! We have been testing this app over the past 7-10 days or so and I must admit that it seems to be one of the best ones out there. There is a lot of functionality and ways to tweak what comes up in search. We have A LOT of products in our store, so it is really important that customers can find what they are looking for quickly. I will keep you posted, but so far, so great!

EDIT (July 2019): Finally the Searchanise team have started thinking about variants. Still very buggy (e.g. has lost the ability to show the most relevant variant, treats single-variant products as multi-variant, new data-variant-sku attribute doesn't update properly, and some filters have broken as part of the update), and still doesn't link to the correct variant, but a step in the right direction. Good relevance algorithm and speedy response but crucial variant information is missing from results. This means that customers might think e.g. a product only comes in one colour or the most expensive size. Searches for specific option values (e.g. 'Blue shoes') will return the correct image but won't link to the pictured variant, and there is not enough information returned in the code to amend the hrefs after the event (without calling the Shopify AJAX API for every returned result = waaaaay too slow). I've had to introduce a handful of JS hacks for other things that *can* be fixed this way, but repeated requests from me for small but significant improvements have been ignored. Don't get me wrong, for the money this is definitely worthwhile - much cheaper and easier than indexing your own inventory (especially large catalogues like ours), and obviously a hell of a lot better than Shopify's in-built system, just be prepared to spend a fair amount of time faffing with code to get it looking and acting as you want. And don't expect any help from these guys - they never reply to emails. I'll up this to 5 stars if the developers cater for products with variants!

“Extremely disappointed with Searchanise. During our busiest day of the year, the app went down, costing us hundreds of orders. We invested heavily in ads, email campaigns, and promotions, all wasted because of their failure. No proactive communication or adequate resolution. If you value reliability, think twice before using this service.” In conclusion a really unreliable app.

is not working properly with my pages. when i click on the brushes tab for example, it doesn't show me just brushes. It shows me all of my products in general...fix this
