Omnivore/Traderunner is supposed to provide a quality link between Shopify and Trademe. Very low quality and does not provide the basic functionality of Trademe like auctions, fixed price offers, control of start finish times. The Aussie help desk people refuse to talk to their customers on the phone. Completely unresponsive to making the software work better for their customers. There are no user guide videos on youtube.

It's been really quick and easy getting our inventory up on Trademe, along with exceptions. Custom titles and descriptions easy to set up. I had a much easier experience with this than I had with Datafeedwatch or Rithum. Their support and customer service is also top notch and quick to reply.

Fantastic support and a very powerful app with many features - we are loving all the customization and the bonus is that it is very reasonably priced.

One of the worst apps I have ever used. Totally user-unfriendly, overpriced for what it does and in my eyes 20 years out of date. Had this app for almost a year now and definitely do not recommend it.

A great experience thus far. Yes there's a bit of a learning curve, however it is becoming increasingly easy to manage multiple channel feeds. There is room to improve, of course, but we are very happy. Customer support has been nothing short of amazing (5 stars there for sure!).

Been using the Omnivore app for years now. We sell on loads of marketplaces and nothing compares to the ease of this app when it comes to listing and managing orders.

We have integrated our Shopify with a third party seller and it is already paying off super quick! Previously we were manually adding, taking stock away, uploading files etc but now life is so much easier with the Omnivore integration. It is the biggest time saver for us and once you get your head around setting it up, it is well worth it. The support we received from Debbie + Steve was first class and their patience and knowledge was super appreciated. Thank you!

I have a love/hate relationship with this app. It is the only app I can find that does what I need. It has the potential to be a very powerful app, but it really struggles to capitalize. Pros: - It is free when used only with Trade Me - Its core functions work - It can import product metafields and use them (with some difficulty - template validation needs better documenation) - It saves an immense amount of time vs manually listing products Cons: - User interface is poorly designed and outdated. Needs a complete rebuild using modern front-end techniques. - Very rudimentary templating system that often falls just short of what you want to achieve. - Many missing features, requiring complex workarounds to be set up - Documentation is not complete and not always up to date. - $75USD a month (+ commission) for the full plan is waaaay too expensive given the state of the UI and the lackluster feature set. Edit: Happy to provide examples of issues to the devs should they reach out.

Setup for the integration between Trademe & Shopify. I sell on eBay but Omnivore is a lot more expensive than alternatives so I keep it to trademe. Omnivore is the only app offering an integration like this now Tradevine stopped their API however there are some issues: 1: Omnivore takes data from Shopify, not Trademe listings so all Trademe-specific data will be lost 2: No allowance for individual variant listings. These can only be grouped 3: No ability to have multiple product listings in different categories or different descriptions & titles - big downside results in SIGNIFICANT loss of sales 4: No ability to manage or answer questions 5: A big one - No website-based management area. Running multiple stores means we need to set up multiple apps in Shopify and to access Omnivore we need to login to Shopify and then access Omnivore for each store. Very time-consuming and sloppy 6: Difficult interface for managing listings 7: No feature to add question text across all listings or information on description pages (offered in Tradevine) 8: No integration-based refundability My guess is Omnivore looks at Trademe as a very small market and is focusing more on other markets. The upside is this is free software for the Trademe side of things and Trademe has basically no suitable solutions if you are a professional seller. If Omnivore made appropriate improvements this would be awesome software and I would be willing to pay for it

it is painful

★★★★★7Clicks StoreAustralia · Sep 29, 2026

Completely useless and overpriced. Taking 1% of sales for what exactly? This behaviour is very concerning. Many platforms now offer free APIs without charging unnecessary fees like this. Bye bye

Have been working with a few of the team for years now. I am probably one of those painful customers trying to break into new markets! but they are super helpful and supportive! One all setup everything ticks away well!

Been using this service for about 3 years now and it intergrates nicely with our shopify store, kogan.com, ebay.com.au and trademe.co.nz accounts saving hundreds of hours of work each year as everything syncs from our www.khe.com.au shopify store, first class customer service if you need help! 5 Stars

I use Omnivore for Kogan and Ebay and the support with their team is amazing.

★★★★★Card MastersNew Zealand · Sep 29, 2026

Can't access my Trademe after trying to integrate, support response is slow. Losing money every day because I can't sign up and can't get it removed.

★★★★★Whiter SmileAustralia · Sep 29, 2026

It just flat out does not work. Tried to connect it and received the error "Oops. That wasn't meant to happen! We'll get right onto fixing that", however they never fixed it. Update - They left a reply saying they fixed it, however the error is still there and app does not work.

We signed up to Omnivore Jan 2026 to integrate Shopify with the TradeMe marketplace. At first we had a major issue with the currency exchange creating accounting discrepancies, however we raised the issue with Omnivore team and they were able to fix it. It is rare to get the level of care and attention shown by their COO. The software itself is easy to use and has a high level of customisation options. Highly recommend Omnivore if you're looking to streamline product data, inventory, and orders across multiple marketplaces.

We use this app to sell on the Catch Marketplace. Integration was easy and their team were extremely supportive at the start. Omnivore has been a godsend in integrating Catch with Omnivore with the syncing of orders and products. There have been a fair few issues, bugs and errors and ongoing support has been mixed.
