After using Blotout for a couple months, we decided to drop them from our stack and noticed no difference. If anything, Blotout was taking credit for a lot of Klaviyo pixel events that would’ve happened anyway (it's very easy to spot check these). Event match quality in Facebook was marginally better, but I don’t think it warrants the cost or complexity. Install Shopify CAPI and save money.
Blotout is an essential tool for all Shopify stores. Its advanced technology has significantly enhanced our attribution capabilities, providing higher quality event data for all of our pixels. Tried to use. Couldn't integrate as it wouldn't populate the DNS record. I had this error shown. We're on Hydrogen so I assumed there was some integration issue but couldn't get past this step. Reached out to support 5 days ago to no avail. "Adding DNS records is crucial for pixel to work as first-party. Pixel will not work without DNS set up."
We never got properly onboarded. Initial call was great but we must of got lost in their slack. Not sure if we have been getting charged for the app too? Would appreciate a refund if so.
Love Blotout. Mandar and the team offer excellent support. Has helped improve our meta performance and trigger a lot more Klaviyo flows.
I came across Blotout through an Email Marketing and connected with the founder Mandar. Managed to speak to him and then connected with his team to get into onboarding. His support team Priyanjana and Aparimit is super helpful and have helped me connect and disconnect(from other sources) patiently. We saw better results with Blotout and we are sticking with it. Absolutely a necessity in the post iOS 14.5 world. Events scores have never looked better and the team at Edgetag is a pleasure to work with. Always responsive and they have been a tremendous help on all levels. Highly recommend.
I can't say enough good things about Blotout and the team behind them. Mandar really cares about helping brands solve the complexities that come with CAPI, server side integration and pixel issues in general. Their tool and support are top notch. I've worked with 3 other server side tools in the past and had all but given up and resorted to just using the native Shopify CAPI setup but I'm so glad I decided to work with Blotout instead.
I have never seen a more involved team in ensuring the success of every brand on their platform. The community their building, and the hands on approach they're willing to do to win and maintain business is extraordinary. Our match quality improved substantially on Meta and other platforms. While not a "silver bullet" in and of itself, it's nice reassurance that we're feeding channels with robust data. From a tech standpoint the tools are very robust. If our CTO was writing instead of me (co-founder, CMO) this he'd say something like "it's exactly how we would have built this internally and is well engineered."

It took weeks to get a reply regarding a refund of $600 for add-on upgrades that were completely ineffective- this was after two years of using them. Our Meta pixel is littered with Velocity events that were never removed once the service was discontinued so I’ll likely start over with a fresh pixel now that I’ve uninstalled Edgetag. It seems they grew too fast to keep up with their customer service
