EcoCart Green Protection

Great app and the support has always been spot on. I would recommend this app to any brand looking to make a positive impact on the environment. Also, the impact feature is a great look for email blasts.

I knew we needed this as soon as we saw it! We are doing carbon offsetting as a company, but weren't involving the customer in that. EcoCart makes it easy for customers to be a part of the story of their order's carbon footprint, and our customers are loving it. Probably took less than an hour to setup, haven't had any issues with it since. So easy, makes everyone feel good all around - customers, team members...Thank you, EcoCart!

Great app. I've been looking for an app like this for ages and I'm glad I was able to find it. The team were super helpful to fix a few issues and get it up and running quickly.

The app was easy to install, and Dean was right on top of the few questions we did have. We've also been pleasantly surprised by how many of our customers are choosing to make their orders carbon neutral!

We just started to use EcoCart last month. So far, we really love it because not only it can help reduce emissions but also can have better communication with our customers. As we are going to become a fully sustainable company, this is the right step to make. Also, we really appreciate their reliable support that some technical issues have been taken care of really well.

EDIT: After a few days, the technical gremlins seemed to have been sorted and we have now successfully reinstalled the app without any problems whatsoever. Support has been fantastic in assisting and keeping us updated during this period and also with the installation. Must particularly thank Austin who got the widget beautifully matching our store theme. So, now a definite 5-star rating, Good idea but I don't think it is suitable for use in the United Kingdom. Was told that I needed to enter payment details to stop it showing the offset in $, but having done that it made no difference. In fact, I couldn't get it to display in our cart despite setting it up several times. Wondered if I might need to enter my bank information as well, but couldn't as it doesn't recognise UK banks. On top of all this, the Admin side of things is painfully slow.

We highly DISCOURAGE the use of Ecocart and will never recommend it again. We disabled the app from September 2021 after finding an alternate solution and confirming with the team that we wouldn't be charged moving forward. However, they began charging us again in January, explained that they had migrated to a newer version of their widget so it was automatically enabled on our store again; this was done WITHOUT ANY NOTICE. Furthermore, given that they have retired the offsets for donations collected, there won't be any refunds. We cannot trust a company that is not transparent with their updates or integrations and continues to charge without any warning even after we disabled it. Although we support carbon neutral delivery, there are many alternative, more trustworthy solutions available, and we do not recommend Ecocart.

Several of our apps and even our 3PL are having a hard time working with Eco Cart with the way it's setup, creating a new variation/sku each time an order is placed. EcoCart tried to help, but they cannot change the fundamental way they are setup. We are going to have to remove the app.

Although I like the product and the installation process was quick and smooth, we've been with EcoCart for over 6 months and each time we have been overbilled. I've emailed each time regarding this issue and promised it is fixed, including a guarantee from VP of Sales Trevor Fox, and yet it keeps happening. Unfortunately it has happened again this past month, and despite emailing my CSM and Trevor twice now, I have yet to hear a response—completely unprofessional. If it wasn't for such poor customer service, at even the VP level, I would give 5 stars.

Great app! Customer service was great and helped us try the add to cart option off vs on. Toggling it on had a much better participation rate with zero customer complaints. So we're happy to keep it there so our customers can offset the emissions from their orders.

The app is not only easy to install but it's also got AMAZING customer support! A great app for a great cause. Highly recommend.

Awesome concept that aligns very well with out company! Was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install it and customize it to our shop. We also wanted it custom installed on our side cart and their support team reached out right away to have this done for free. We had our first carbon credit purchased the first day we installed which is promising!
