Early Bird: Preorder & Restock

5 preorders a month sounded like 5 items that can be preordered. It was unclear that it was 5 orders per variant and I launched a campaign that was cut off almost immediately by the usage being exceeded on the free plan. I was then forced to upgrade to a monthly subscription to keep traffic flowing. Update: This app does not easily work with shopify. It did not allow international preorders easily and flags everything as a subscription therefore making it unavailable in 188 countries. I DO NOT recommend this app and I will be cancelling my subscription to it immediately.

It will let the customer purchase into zero and negative amounts without indicating that any purchase of an item when the inventory goes from zero or below will be a backorder. Basically, if a product has an inventory of 1 it will allow the customer to purchase 4, in a single order, without indicating that 3 will be a backorder. The customer is left unaware that 3 items are not in stock, and we the merchants are stuck dealing with this. They require you to check "continue selling when out of stock" to enable the backorder function but did not take into account going zero or below in inventory on a single purchase. Not to mention Google lists your products in stock when inventory is zero or below because of the "continue selling when out of stock" requirement to use the backorder function.

I use the back in stock and preorder sections of this app every week, I recommend my customers to click "notify" on items that i've sold out of to indicate where i should spend my money ordering. Excellent value, very happy with the performance i'm experiencing.

I'm new to Shopify and was looking for a simple, efficient way to manage backorders in my online store. Early Bird came highly recommended by a ton of people, so I got the app and started playing around. I wasn't sure I set up my pre-order campaigns and backorders correctly in my theme, so I reached out for help. I was surprised and delighted that one of the co-founders and developers of the app responded and was able to quickly correct the parts I messed up! Awesome app and wonderful customer service. The team have built one of the best pre-order apps in the biz. We've been using for quite some time. Have run over $100k in orders through it. Our favourite parts - ease of managing discounted product, ability to find scheduled orders and unfulfilled orders via pre-order app view, ability to adjust campaign mid flight and update customers easily if needed, great UX / UI on the product page, ability to add more products mid campaign without having to make new campaigns, ability to clone a campaign to save time, great help files if needed, ability to work around B2B sales and duplicate skus for pre-order so they don't show up in wholesale... Plus just general overall great service and great price. Congrats team and keep up the great work.

Early Bird was easy to install and set up. I had a question, which was answered quickly though chat by a real person. I'm running my first preorder campaign with it now and it's working flawlessly.

Really lovely Team, very helpful and great app

I tried 3 other preorder apps before finally finding Early Bird. I LOVE that there is a FREE plan available for those of us with minimal/low preorders. Josiah was incredibly helpful. He reached out to us personally (using our names) and was prompt with his responses. Through email help with Josiah, I was easily able to get the app working and set up on our website within a very short period of time. He checked in a short time later to make sure everything was working still. Customer service/tech support was A+! Would highly recommend!
