It's been great to leverage Downpay on my made to order products -- since my artwork is completed in batches, it's super helpful to understand my customer demand before I sit down to create the product. It also helps my customer put a down payment on products and guarantee getting one of my exclusive item drops, win-win!
It is a great app and has nice support
Without a doubt fantastic. We have been wanting this feature for a LONG time and were doing it painfully by hand via invoicing. We have high priced items that are handcrafted to order, so it can take a long time between purchase and receipt of the purchase, so we feel good knowing we haven't held all of the customer's money for the entire time. I know I sound like spam but... forget the Affirm installments - use this app! We ditched Affirm due to high fees and this was such a breath of fresh air. Diana took time to video chat with us on all the features, and has been incredibly responsive on emails with questions. We had it pre Shopify 2.0 for a few weeks, and her team installed it beautifully on both that and as a dynamic feature set on the 2.0 theme. Seriously wonderful people and excellent app.

We are so glad we found this app at the last minute before we launched our new pre-order. It provided the option to accept deposits for each order and we had the option to do it as a percentage or a fix amount. Diana has been absolutely fabulous about reverting on questions we had but more importantly their team jumped in to assist with setup since our store had a legacy theme which required some additional tweaks.
Love this app! Very impressed so far. Just launched our first collection with the deposit and it worked like a charm. Support has been excellent (above and beyond, anticipating needs). Highly recommend.
The app is easy to navigate and setup. Any questions we had in setting it up were quickly answered by Diana. It made us feel really confident in using the app on our site. In addition, when we launched Diana took extra time and effort with us to make some custom tweaks so that the app worked and appeared even better on the site. We highly recommend the app to anyone who sells a custom product with long lead times. It made taking deposits a snap!
This is a great option that I have been looking for, for months. I sell a high-end product so it makes it much easier for my customers to pay half now and half later when their order is finished and ready to ship.
We've been using the Downpay app, for our most recent product launch, where pre-ordering was a big part of the strategy. The entire team has been more than helpful from day one, making sure we went into the launch, with no worries... at all. So if you're looking for the perfect app for you deferred payment strategy, there's no doubt. Downpay, is the way to go - no 3rd party bs, just all natively on Shopify
So far so good. Integrates seamlessly into our theme and support has been very responsive to assist with the setup.
We recently made the switch to Downpay after having continued compatibility issues arise with our previous deposit app, Split. The team was very helpful in adding this to our site, ensuring it worked accurately across our page, and customized options to make it fit into our page. Very grateful to have found this app for a more streamlined deposit option for our customers.
I just started the Downpay trial for a client site a few days ago. Most of the features are pretty straight forward and intuitive. We were trying to do some automation so we contacted support. Diana was extremely helpful and walked me through the process. The team also spent time listening to our business needs, and actually helped us tweak the app. We highly recommend Downpay for anyone who sells products that have higher prices or in need of charging deposits and wanting some control.
This app is truly top-notch! Not only is the support team remarkable with their swift responses, but I also found it incredibly user-friendly, allowing me to accomplish tasks immediately. Packed with all the essential features, it's a must-try!
It seems like the functionality would work, but there is no cart level option for the pre-order, only on a product specific basis. It didn't serve me needs because of this.
After searching and searching for different options, this was the only app that not only exactly matched what we needed (deposit on only certain items with easily configurable options) but also had fantastic levels of support. Big thanks to Diana and team!

I sell photography workshops with a deposit and final payments due 60 days before the start of the event. I tried many different apps before settling on Downpay as I was trying to save a buck hoping one of the free options would work. In short, they didn't meet my needs. Downpay is the only one that has every feature I needed. It works seamlessly and now I can't imagine not having it. I was spooked by the transaction fees at first, but if you reach out to them for a custom plan they will create a plan that works for you at a reasonable yearly rate with no transaction fees. Support is very responsive as well. Stop looking around, this is the app you want.
An easy 5 stars - I could do with 6 to be honest. Easy to use, works well but the best thing about using Downplay is the support. World-class is not an understatement for once. Diana and the team have been superb - thank you so much! I cannot recommend Downplay enough
Downpay has been a game-changer for our business. Our customers now have the option to place an order and see their custom artwork before they pay! As a result, our sales have gone up significantly and our customers appreciate the flexibility to pay only once they approve their custom order. Denis & Diana have also both been incredibly helpful with implementing Downpay on our store. Being able to talk directly with the founders has been great, and they even helped with a few customizations to ensure everything went smoothly. Amazing app. I have such a custom, high end product that I desperately needed something like this for many years. When Downpay became an option, I couldn't believe it. I've used it for the better part of a year now and it has done great - lifting our online conversion rate and making it less of a gap to get the customer engaged with the purchase. The app is great but the service is even better. Diana is very on the ball with tweaks and adjustments, helping me tailor the app to our store's needs. I can't say enough great things, this is one of the best apps I've ever had. Thank you
