The connection between shopify and cin7 is riddled with issues. The system cannot deal with exhanges and cin7 refuse to consider this an essential retail practice.

★★★★★AquaSproutsUnited States · Sep 5, 2026

The CIN7 app has lacked the feature of importing Shopify order tags for over 4 years, which is quite frustrating for users who rely on these tags to categorize orders and run reports. They have no plans to implement this in the future and without this feature, it becomes impossible to track orders with specific tags or run reports based on these tags. Even worse, the app does not provide any option to view tags within CIN7, which adds to the inconvenience. Given the high cost of the app, it is surprising that such a basic feature is missing. It would be great if the developers could address this issue and introduce this feature in the app to make it more user-friendly and efficient. Overall, while the app has its benefits, this missing feature is a significant drawback for users who depend on Shopify order tags.

Cin7 x Shopify Order routing is lacking in logic. Sales Orders from Shopify -> Cin7 cannot map on Shopify Inventory location, only Sales Channel. For example: if you have an order from your Shopify POS, eg a retail store, but the order is to be dispatched by your warehouse. Sales Channel: retail store Inventory Location: warehouse The order can only map based on Sales Channel to Cin7. So in this scenario, when your order comes into Cin7, it maps to the retail store, instead of the warehouse. So your inventory will be out of sync. Cin7 needs to develop more options/logic into their integration for order routing to allow their users to take full advantage of the Shopify omni capabilities. Ie - just be able to sell product from multiple inventory locations. Considering at least 70% of Cin7 users are on Shopify, it is a striking incapability of the integration.

Great app. We have used the Cin7 app across multiple stores and find it makes our business more stremline and automated.

★★★★★Army & OutdoorsNew Zealand · Aug 23, 2026

Long time cin7 user - these past 5 months have been an absolute nightmare. Technical problems such as not being able to update prices without the app deleting your own variants! Not being able to remap and add new variants, not being able to update stock. Absolutely got not no business being on this app store. They cannot perform the bare minimum for inventory control without having a huge down time of weeks to months.

Pretty good and getting better. Support from CIN7 has improved out of sight in last 6 months. Reliability is much better with the synch function much improved. Would suggest images from Shopify are imported and synched automatically into CIN7 to use as product imagery

Do not consider Cin 7. We have been punished by them for the last 5 years. Cin 7 will randomly perform updates that will disrupt your other connections. Their technical support and customer service is non-existent and they take weeks to respond to urgent support emails.

★★★★★Total Saddle FitUnited States · Aug 23, 2026

Theoretically a good service, except it breaks frequently. Randomly it won't push inventory to Shopify or Amazon. Most frustrating of all is the "customer service"... it takes 36 or more hours to hear back... if they reply to a ticket. A couple years ago they had live chat, but took that away. The last problem is the onboarding process. It is about a 3 hour process, but they drag it into a 4 week ordeal (one call per week), so that you're so time invested in the process that backing out is too much hassle. And they charge you the $500+ monthly fee for that month too.

★★★★★TokyobayUnited States · Aug 23, 2026

We've been on Cin7 for 6 years. Although it was a terrible onboarding process because the Cin7 onboarder didn't know enough to do his job, Cin7 eventually proved to be a good tool. That has now come to a screetching halt. Customer service is impossible. Tickets are the only vehicle to get an issue reported. But, they don't look at the tickets. They don't turn chat on. They don't have a phone number. The platform has more glitches every other week. We are planning to move on from Cin7. Whoever is in charge, they should be fired.

Absolutely the worst customer service of any software we have ever worked with. They will keep blaming you, not respond to any support tickets and you will end up paying thousands of dollars and spend months in implementation for an inaccurate software. They have so many integration issues/bugs and it's way too complicated for a small-medium size business. Because of the software's issues we had delayed shipments on Amazon and Shopify which caused our account health to drop and made for angry customers. It simply won't sync the orders correctly and they will keep saying it's your fault for not reviewing their "academy" videos which is just ridiculous to ask that after we paid $1,500 for implementation. So mad that we chose to go with this software and will strongly advise you to look for other alternatives. This will NOT make your life easier at all. Quite the opposite. I had high hopes but I cancelled the subscription (which was a process as well) one month after going live and after spending 4 months in implementation. Save your time and money.

We moved from TradeGeko to CIN7 and the difference is AMAZING! Not only has it given us the ability to better manage our inventory, but the integration with Shopify, an EDI link to amazon vendor, B2B stores and seamless data transfer between QBO and ShipTheory means that we are confident that we have a robust system that will scale with us. I cannot recommend it enough!

★★★★★RUNFASTERAustralia · Aug 23, 2026

By far the worst customer service of any business i have used dealt with! They dont have a phone service and their chat is always down and when you finally get through it takes weeks for them to solve the issue. There is constant bugs or parts of the system are down that have thrown out our stock levels and caused other issues. So we end up selling items that we are out of stock in or underselling because it takes stock offline without anyone noticing. I have used them for both woo commerce and Shopify for the last few years and noticed no improvement.

Well Cin7 asked for a review, my guess is that they may stop asking based on the rating they have here. I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this platform to any e-commerce business that has a multi-channel distribution (which they claim to support). We have been in business for 10 years on ecomm and I can say this is the WORST investment of time, energy, and money I have ever made. The tech issues related to this platform are plentiful, we have open "tickets" for over a year. Their customer service barely fixes a problem as we always here "hum, this isn't happening to any one else" and then they just ignore it. They were built with people who must have never worked in this industry or have any product or supply chain experience, and everything takes way too many clicks. We are on a total time and attention burn with this platform, and the systems they say work don't ever work in the real world. I would highly recommend doing hours of due diligence on this platform before actually hoping in, and make sure you have a full-time data person on the team to deal with all the extra man-hours it takes to finish tasks. You may be asking "why would you stay" the sad news is there are not many options out there, so we remain with the devil we know, I just try to save future founders/small ecomm businesses to not waste their time and find a different solution.

Pros: Systems integrate well together, you don't encounter many issues. A great system to manage your inventory, especially doe small businesses. Cons: When you do encounter an issue, their service team can take weeks to get back to you and get the issue resolved.

★★★★★McTavish SurfboardsAustralia · Aug 23, 2026

We switched from Tradegecko and the Cin7 platform has been much better suited to our needs, it integrates well and provides clear reporting options.

★★★★★EOzzie Electric VehiclesAustralia · Aug 23, 2026

Hi I was very happy with the app, however one of the smartest guy closed the phone support which has been a nightmare for my team when we have small or big problem to solve. Now we have to use the chat which is minimum takes 1 hour to get some answer. Worst management ever, I sent multiple emails to find what happened with my tickets pending never got an answer. DO NOT GET THIS APP I regret my decision to move from my last software. You can do a quick test please call 02 8074 2988 even if you want to reach the sales team you cannot do it!!!!!

★★★★★Wilson and FrenchyAustralia · Aug 23, 2026

We've been using CIN7 and Shopify for a few years now and we have found that the two systems work well together.

★★★★★The Next PairAustralia · Aug 23, 2026

Terrible customer service. Look for another provider. Just like other reviewers, we've waited weeks or months for a simple response, some of them being critical. Furthermore, we've had to look at alternative solutions for 3PL implementation, and we were still charged for the implementation fee, despite cancelling the deployment after 3 months of waiting. Looking for a refund now, which no one, CS or accounts have responded to as of yet. Look elsewhere.

★★★★★Arda Wigs USAUnited States · Aug 23, 2026

Absolutely did not work. Spent around 4k and almost eight months for the product to fail to deliver on the simplest tasks, and spent 2K on scanners RECCOMMENDED by the CIN7 tech support, only to have them tell us later they're incompatible with the program. Inept, a joke, stay away.

★★★★★Fleur StudiosAustralia · Aug 23, 2026

Had a horrible experience trying to implement CIN7 to my business, we had minimal requirements, we are not a complicated set! Dealing with a third party implementor cin7 forced us to use but then have not accepted any responsibility when they have not been able to deliver the functionality promised to us yet we are out of pocket tens of thousands of $. I would strongly suggest to do your own research and ask them to prove functionality before you pay a cent as once you're signed up and paid the salesman disappears and they lose all enthusiasm to make it work - horrible experience for us.
