Our sales reps are keeping the catalogs on their phones now instead of carrying printed sheets around. The QR codes are useful, and the product sorting saves us quite a bit of time when making different versions. I’d just like a little more control over the mobile layout since that’s where our team shares them most.
I put together a catalog for our buyers in one afternoon and it turned out really well. Simple and really handy.
I’ve been using this for our wholesale catalogs and it does a lot without being too confusing. Product imports are quick, and I like having the drag-and-drop editor to make adjustments myself. The cloud storage also makes it easy to share the latest version with our sales team. The shoppable PDFs are probably my favorite feature. I’d like a bit more control over individual page layouts, though. The tracking could also be easier to follow when we have several catalogs running, especially on my phone.
We turned some of our product pages into PDFs for a trade show, and they actually came out really professional. The QR codes are a nice touch too since customers can go straight to the products. Very convenient.
Not as advertised! The app is slow, difficult to use, and doesn’t sync products properly. Had to uninstall it
We use this for our seasonal wholesale line sheets, and it’s saved me a ton of time on formatting. The templates look clean, products import quickly, and buyers can order straight from the catalog. I just wish there were a few more font options so we could match our branding better.
Paid for a Month, Lost Access Immediately After Canceling Renewal I’m very disappointed with how this subscription was handled. I purchased a one-month paid subscription and later downgraded/canceled specifically to prevent it from renewing for another month. I had already paid for the current billing period, so I expected to keep access to the paid features until that period ended. Instead, my paid subscription benefits were removed immediately after canceling the renewal. I contacted the app developer, and they told me to contact Shopify Support. Shopify then directed me back to the app developer, leaving me stuck between the two without access to a period I had already paid for. If canceling a renewal also means immediately losing access to the remaining paid period, this should be made extremely clear before customers cancel. I would strongly recommend clarifying the subscription terms and providing either continued access through the paid period or a refund for the unused time.
The flipbook sitting on our own site is the bit nobody warned me about. Customers browse it like a real catalog and I can see in CatalogAce which pages they linger on, which told me our best seller was buried on page nine. Moved it to page two. You can guess what happened next.
Honestly, our wholesale orders look a lot more polished now, and sharing catalogs with buyers takes almost no time. Really useful.
Cant find support, i install the trial and they charged me on the first hour the full price of the higest plan. Even the archived products appear in the catalog, there are few or none personalization options. One time isnt enough, they charged me the full price of the higest plan on the first hour of the trial.
After a difficult start, I was pleasantly surprised to be called in by the development team. I hope things stay as they are now, which is great and worth the price. The application still suffers from minor bugs like (cosmetic changes not being saved correctly) but overall it's great and the support team is responsive which is a major plus.
Not Happy With This
Don't spend too much time creating a catalog because it times out constantly and you lose all your work. There's no way to save while initially adding products until you go to the next screen. If you go back, you lose your work. Not happy!
I am not a designer and I was worried about this. But Pressfold has templates ready, and I only changed the colours and put my logo. My customers said the brochure looks very professional. I am happy with it.
Solid tool, and I'll keep paying for it, but three stars is honest. Ace Catalog templates run out fast if you want anything that isn't a grid, and the layout controls I actually wanted sit on the tier above the one I'm on. Core job it does well. Just don't go in expecting InDesign.
Our reps carry Catalogace catalogs on tablets now instead of the ring binder. Ordering straight off the page is the part that actually changed how a sales call runs. Binder's in a cupboard somewhere.
ok so i avoided making a wholesale catalog for like a full year because it sounded miserable. Catalogace took me one evening. dragged things around, exported, sent it. genuinely annoyed at myself for putting it off
Not expected the glitches i face in this app. 404 error in the cataloge page is very frustrating.
