CartWatch: Bot Detection Block

My store was over run with bot check outs and my mailing list was contaminated with 40,000 bot created accounts before we realized what was happening. We installed cartwatch and the bot activity stopped. the fake shopify account are tagged and deleted automatically. I have contacted the customer service team with questions and they have been very responsive! It's a same that Shopify doesn't offer better native protection from this kind of attack. Without something protecting your cart you're a sitting duck. This is a very effective app, worth the money for sure.

I've been very satisfied with how CartWatch is working. It's been helping so much to catch all the bots and keep my Klaviyo list and abandoned cart list focused on actual customers. Best tool I've found to help with this issue.

I have been fighting bots activity in my store for more than 3 months. In September, the activity increase from a few hundred a month to thousands a day. My email deliverability was ruined. Excellent support, willing to help and listens to feedback. We've only been using the app for a short while but we are already seeing improvements with our bot issues.

I've been looking for something like this ever since my store started to get hammered by Bots going to checkout and abandoning...thousands per day sometimes. Names would get over to Klaviyo in particular, and then my costs quadrupled for Klaviyo due to the number of active profiles. Since installing CartWatch, all of the fake names are automatically deleted from Klaviyo, and it is also squashing all fraudulent orders. Also, they proactively communicated to me when there was an issue preventing them from deleting a few dozen accounts-they told me how to delete them step by step and made it super easy. Highly recommend.

Cartwatch is an absolute game changer for us. We had bot activity that soared in the last month and shopify does not have a solution for this. We tried managing bot activity via shopify flows and it was hardly helping. This app saved the day with detecting and deleting bot activity so that our analytics are not continually harmed. If you are having nonstop bot activty you could solve it in minutes by downloading cartwatch.

Excellent support and genuinely honest advice We contacted CartWatch while dealing with a serious Shopify bot attack involving direct cart permalink URLs and synthetic abandoned checkouts. Although we ultimately resolved the issue using a separate firewall solution, the support from Shaya at CartWatch was excellent. They took the time to understand the exact attack pattern, clearly explained what CartWatch could and couldn’t intercept, and were completely honest about Shopify’s platform limitations rather than trying to oversell the app. They even offered to personally review the bot activity if we installed the free plan for diagnostics. We didn’t end up needing to keep the app installed, but the quality of the support absolutely deserves 5 stars. Very knowledgeable, responsive and refreshingly transparent.

My small business was being bombarded by bots that were going straight to checkout. Once these bots "started checkout" (they rarely complete checkout), my Klaviyo welcome emails were being sent 30 mins later. My deliverability score went from 99.5% to 42% in 2 weeks. Once I installed this, 4024 bots were stopped in one week and only 1 bot got through. My deliverability score has rebounded a bit to 54%. Hopefully it will rebound more before BFCM. This is an excellent app to add and the customer service is very responsive. Highly recommend the $9 per month.

Drip users! Finally a straight forward solution to keeping the bot emails from clogging up your drip customer list. And Cartwatch service was responsive and super helpful. It's so refreshing to find software that does what you need it to at a reasonable subscription rate. Highly recommended!

Really good experience with the app, been using it for a while and I don't regret it.

The app constantly watches your cart and if a headless bot goes straight to cart it can automatically stop the bot and disable it. So the orders do not go to your order page and you do not need to void or cancel anything. It's basically set-and-forget. Let me reiterate, you don't have to worry about any negative balance on your payouts as the orders never make it beyond the cart page. It really works as intended.
